About ‘Beurs World Trade Center Rotterdam’ by Guido Akster

De laagbouw van het huidige Beurs-complex is ontworpen door architect J.F. Staal en werd gerealiseerd tussen 1936 en 1940. Bij het bombardement op Rotterdam van 14 mei 1940 kreeg het Beursgebouw een aantal treffers, maar deze schade kon vrij snel worden hersteld. In 1941 werd de Beurs aan de Coolsingel heropend. Dit gebouw met talrijke functies bevatte niet alleen vele handelsbeurzen maar ook winkels, vergaderzalen, een bar en kantoren.
In 1973 werd de laagbouw van een extra verdieping voorzien. Architect van deze uitbreiding is Arthur Staal, de zoon van J.F. Staal. Tevens is er een horecagelegenheid gevestigd die de naam "Staal" draagt. Er komen dagelijks veel zakenmensen hun lunch gebruiken in het restaurant op de tweede etage, of zomers op het terras beneden aan de Coolsingel en Beursplein. Op de derde etage bevindt zich nog zaalStaal, de voormalige vergaderruimte van de Kamer van Koophandel. Deze wordt tegenwoordig gebruikt voor bruiloften, congressen, feesten etc. [1]

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
