The Biltsche Grift is a waterway in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It runs for a distance of roughly 10 kilometres from Zeist to the western town of Utrecht. The eastern part from Oostbroek is also referred to as the Zeister Grift. There was to be a canal running from Utrecht via De Bilt to Zeist. However, it took until 1668 before things were properly arranged.
I find this part of Utrecht's Wittevrouwen very underrated. In this photo of this waterway, you can see the winding trees reflected on either side of the water. There are small boats tucked away waiting for better weather. Nevertheless, this photo has fine warm brown and green tones and makes you want to snuggle under a blanket by a fireplace.
