Birds in the sky. Near the Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu. Kathmandu is the vibrant capital of Napel. Kathmandu, you either love it or hate it. I think Kathmandu is fantastic. The hustle and bustle, the smells, the colours, the different Asian cultures that converge here and the different religions, such as Hindus and Buddhists that live side by side here. In this busy environment, everyone tries to find a place. Including these birds. Which startle, fly away and land again a few dozen metres away. Lovely to sit on a wall and people-watch. Holy men (sadhoe), tourists and locals. All swarming together. A little further down the temple complex, body burnings take place. So these are semi-public. You can watch from a distance as relatives say goodbye to their deceased loved ones. Special to see this. I look at the sky again and the pigeons fly up. I capture it, the pigeons in flight.
