No 8-10 Adelaide St E in Toronto Ontario was built in 1909 for the Canadian Birkbeck Investment and Savings Company. The site remained the property of Birkbeck and its successor, the Canadian Mortgage and Investment Company, until 1927 when it was sold to the Standard Bank. Ownership of the structure was passed to several corporations and individuals before the Ontario Heritage Trust purchased it in 1985. The building was designated a Heritage Property by The City of Toronto in 1976 and a National Historic Site of Canada in 1986.
Original photography from 2015 using a Canon EOS 60D body with a Sigma 17-70mm f2.8 DC Macro OS lens. Reprocessed using Silver EFEX Pro as a Lightroom plugin for the Black and White conversion.
