Black eyed susans are considered a wildflower and can be found all over the east coast. They bloom all summer and are part of the daisy family. The black eyed Susan also goes by brown eyed Susan and Gloriosa daisy.
In our garden the black eyed Susan comes back on its own every year and in more abundance. We split and relocate them to add more colors. The honey bees and other tiny insects love the black eyed Susan. Due to a lot of rain this batch of black eyed Susans seem smaller than the ones we got last year.
