One early morning during one of my walks along the waterfront, I came across a beautiful black-tailed godwit busy foraging. The bird was standing with its long legs in the shallow water, its beak poking deep into the mud in search of food. The soft morning light gave a beautiful sheen to the water and illuminated the godwit's delicate feather pattern. Observing this graceful bird, so focused on its task, was a mesmerising moment that I immediately captured with my camera.
I would love to have this picture hanging on my wall because it reminds me of the simplicity and beauty of nature. Every time I look at it, I feel the peace and patience of that moment. It is a silent witness to the wonders you can discover if you take the time to look closely. For me, the godwit, with its graceful posture and focus, symbolises the harmony between nature and time. This shot brings that serene atmosphere into my home and reminds me to always appreciate the small, beautiful moments in life.
