This work originated from the sunlight that shone through the stair gate of our hallway.
The light brown is from the color of the bars, the yellow from the sunlight and the dark color comes from the color of the floor.
I love shapes and lines and that's exactly what I'm doing here.
You can imagine that you look along the pillars to the sky with sunlight, as if it is a vista.
Personally I like to play with depth in my work. So by looking at the image and (in this case) taking turns to have 1 particular pillar come to the fore and then when I look again, to "put the same pillar in the background".
Just like a 3D photo where you can only see something if you look at it in a certain way.
It can keep you wonderfully busy and loosen your mind and it stimulates your imagination.
This work fits extremely well in a modern decorated room because of the spatial effect it gives.
I have made this work in a 2 part series, but of course it is also possible to hang them separately!
I am an intuitive artist and I make photo art, paintings and drawings.
