About the artwork
Have you ever experienced that? Is there a plant or flower growing in your garden that you are sure you have not planted there yourself.
Well I had that with a sunflower. In a very strange place for me in front of a tree there she appeared. All by herself, she sat there shining. Furthermore, for that tree, except of course some weeds, nothing grows at all. So how did that seed end up in the ground there?... Probably a sunflower seed from the bird food that was taken by a bird and dropped it.
What I love about a sunflower is that she is also quite smart. She knows exactly where the sun is and follows the position of the sun with her flower. The sunflower is a symbol of love and of course sun, summer. Well you want to hang that on your wall! That's why I took a picture of this sunflower and further digitally edited it.
I make art based on photos I take with my mobile or camera. Then I get to work with them and edit them with a software program. My style is characterized by a lot of color and textures. These textures I use are often other edited (macro) photos that I add to an image with a certain technique. You can think of photos of moss, bark, rust structures, concrete, wood structures, etc.
