One of the most famous sights on the island of Malta is the Blue Grotto . When the sunlight hits the right spot, the phosphorescent underwater flora is reflected, creating beautiful shades of blue. It is a popular spot attracting around 100,000 tourists a year and is also a popular place for diving.
