Bogoak, bog oak, peat wood. These are thousands of years old tree stumps that have been preserved in the bog. After the peat extraction it was exposed and excavated. the wood has beautiful structures. Machine-cut peat logs lie drying in long rows in the early morning sun on the edge of Wild Nephin Ballycroy National Park in County Mayo, Ireland.
