They sometimes say there is no bad light. This was one of those moments for me where the predicted light during sunset turned out to be different than expected and thus could not capture the image before your eyes. In that moment it is adjusting to the circumstances and continuing to look around you. These 2 poles in the water would be it. The ripple in the water taken away by a long shutter speed of 160 seconds where the blue gray color of the water and sky lit up like a beautiful haze. The 2 poles stilled in the water with green algae left behind by the years on the poles. For me a soothing image, nice and minimalistic and going home with a smile.
I have been photographing since I was little, but the beauty of nature is something I really started to see by actively photographing landscapes and nature. By consciously standing still and taking in your surroundings you learn to look and feel differently.
