Botanical Mixed Media Art: African Lily on colourful textures by Studio Pieternel

● Exclusive design for Werk aan de Muur / Art Heroes

This piece (an original adaptation of my own photographic work) depicts a graceful Agapanthus (African lily) with its characteristic purple-blue corolla. The flower has been rendered with an eye for botanical detail and a rich, tactile texture.

The background forms a dynamic interplay of vibrant colours, with warm ochre-yellow and gold tones at the top, bright turquoise blue and bold magenta and pink areas at the bottom. The weathered fresco effect and the layered structure lend the design an artistic and time-worn depth. The artwork falls within the category of abstract-realistic botanical painting, featuring expressive colour and texture effects. Thanks to the striking contrast between the cool purple-blue flower and the warm, colourful background, this design fits perfectly with current interior design trends. It looks fantastic in a modern, eclectic or artistic interior, where it serves as a vibrant focal point above a sleek sideboard, a sofa or in the hall.

With this design, you bring a powerful and colourful natural accent into your home that infuses every room with energy, warmth and style.

This artwork is available in almost any size, and there is a choice of many high-quality finishes, such as: Wallpaper, Canvas, ArtFrame, Aluminium, Acrylic glass, Photo print.
