An exact picture of the original painting bouquet of flowers in a vase by Vincent van Gogh from 1890.
I spent a lot of time creating this image in beautiful realistic fresh colours as I think Vincent van Gogh intended it to be.
This still life is not mentioned in Van Gogh's letters and has confused scholars about its place in his artistic production. The subject has a certain connection with the mixed bouquets of summer flowers he made in Paris; the quasi-abstract floral wallpaper design in the Berceuse of Arles (1996.435) and the white porcelain vase in the irises of Saint-Rémy. However, the palette and style of this painting, in particular the characteristic shades of blue and ochre and graphic brick shading, link it firmly to the landscapes created just before his death in Auvers on 29 July 1890.
This image is available in different sizes and on different materials.
