Meet Bram, my dark Brahma rooster, a.k.a. Bram the Magnificent, Father of Many. ☺ He really is magnificent, a huge bird, easily 12 lbs, and annoyingly camera-shy. I was lucky to finally capture a shot of him recently, and very fittingly under my one and only clump of bamboo, given that Brahmas were bred in the US in the 19th century from imported Chinese birds where bamboo would have been part of their native Asian habitats. Bram and his ladies love to hang out in its shelter. I added some grunge textures to the photograph for a painterly effect.
