About "Breakwater Domburg."

About the artwork

This breakwater is located at the seashore near Domburg
and is a typical form of coastal defense in the Dutch province of Zeeland and is called "Paalhoofden". Most of them are constructed from a long, double row of poles. But there are also variants with a single row of poles. Some of them are up to 14 meters / 45 feet deep into the ground. Zeeland uses this type of coastal protection because of the strong current. A stone breakwater would be counterproductive here because of the loss of soil. When the water can go through the poles, the flow is being curbed, but soil is not washed away.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
