It was a cold afternoon on the beach of Burgh Haamstede in Zeeland. As the waters of the sea receded, sunset approached. The beach was empty and the quiet atmosphere felt pleasant and soft. The water moved quietly around the pile heads (breakwaters).
I captured the photo “Breakwaters Burgh Haamstede at sunset” with a long shutter speed.
Welcome.
Keywords that describe my work: peace, space, serenity, simplicity, minimalist and mostly soft colors.
An invitation to be still and to slow down. Not only to look, but above all to experience the peace, space and simplicity, in the middle of the busy world in which we live.
Main theme: Visual silence; capturing the audible silence in images.
Enjoy.
Warm regards,
Claire (fine art, landscape photographer / image maker with a great love for the beach, the sea and the dunes)
