About ‘Bright Future Ahead’ by Sam Pintens

This is my beautiful wife, expecting our first son.

Here is my idea for the concept of the photo:

"A silhouette on a beautiful summer day on a Finnish heath, looking confidently towards the future!"

This Black-and-White version was preferred because of the wonderful contrast. Although the actual colors were beautiful too, with a bright blue sky, the green tall grass and purple flowers in the meadow.

This image conveys hope, strength, positivity and self-confidence. It reflects the contrast between "bringing new life" and "the tensions in the world" in which that new life will grow up.

The picture itself was taken in Northern Karelia, the region against the Russian border. This adds to the contrast, given the current entanglements.

We had to wait quite a while until the sun had sunk far enough so that I got the perfect backlight to create the silhouette. I positioned my wife on top of a small hill, this way I was able to completely separate her from the background and got the composition I had in mind.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
