It wasn't even a special day for shooting but by waiting I got a nice string of light at the end of the day .
It was lovely and quiet on the dam and I took that atmosphere and made it come across this way.
The skimming light illuminated the stones in the foreground beautifully and the wind was blowing in my direction so I opted for a slow shutter speed to create the effect of calm in the photo.
Later during sunset and the golden hour, I was able to take some nice photos which can also be seen on this site.
At the age of 18 I bought my first camera to capture the beautiful images I encountered on my walks. 45 years later I still do this.
I am often outside before dawn and I love to see the sun go down. The colors are great and it fascinates me...
