It is always wonderful to see the kingfisher up close. From a hide, kingfishers are easy to observe and photograph.
Brushing the feathers is very important for kingfishers, without a good plumage the kingfisher does not survive. Capturing this intimate moment is always a special moment for me.
In this photo, the kingfisher sits on a branch that runs diagonally through the image. The kingfisher looks diagonally down, which for me adds something to the composition. I am therefore very happy with this photo!
