About ‘Buzzard’ by Cees van der Linden

The Chameleon among Birds of Prey

What makes the buzzard so interesting to you as a photographer is the enormous variation in plumage. No two buzzards are the same; colours vary from deep dark brown to almost white.
This variation, also known as ' 'genetisch polymorfisme' ', ensures that you can create a unique portrait every time.

Characteristics and Behaviour
Appearance: The buzzard is a medium-sized bird of prey with broad, angular wings and a short, spread tail. In the air, it is often seen circling on thermals, keeping its wings in a shallow V-shape.
Sound: It is easily recognisable by its characteristic, cat-like meowing, which can often be heard before the bird is seen.

Location: They can be found almost everywhere: perched on posts along the motorway, searching for roadkill, or on a lookout post at the edge of the forest hunting mice and rabbits.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
