Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Cactus under the stars, Tatacoa’ by Pastnorpresent

During a wonderful trip through Colombia, we found ourselves in the desert, amongst other places. A columnar cactus stands black against the night sky of Colombia's Tatacoa desert.

The longexposure ran thirty seconds, and that is exactly what you see: the clouds are drawn out into long streaks, brushed across the frame, while the stars hold still as fixed points.

The blue of the sky is not the black you would expect at night. It is late enough for residual light to keep the cloud edges grey and the sky a deep cobalt.

The Tatacoa is called a desert but is really a dry forest, and you can see it here. There is more growing than sand. The mood is quiet and cool. No moonlight, no campfire, just a long shutter and a tripod on sandy ground.

On a wall this works in a room that is already dark, or as the single dark plane against white plaster. The blue sits close to ink and petrol, and those colours hold their own beside wood and black metal.
