About ‘Calm before the storm on Koh Ngai’ by Walter G. Allgöwer

A longtail boat rests in the shallow, mint-green water as if it had forgotten to breathe for a moment. The sea is still, but darkness is gathering in the distance - a gathering storm that seems to hang over the Andaman Sea like a mighty curtain. There is a tension over Koh Ngai that is more than just weather; it is a whisper of nature, a pause before the next breath.
The boat, called Ruea Hang Yao, seems like a living being, ready to tell stories of stormy nights and sun-drenched mornings. Its colours - yellow, red, brown - glow against the threatening blue of the sky, as if to defiantly smile at the storm. The small island in the background rises out of the sea like a silent sentinel, half swallowed up by mist and shadows.
Here, on the coast of Satun province in southern Thailand, time only gently touches the moment. The world seems to fall silent for seconds while light and shadow engage in a dialogue. And the boat waits - serene, familiar with the whims of the sea. It knows the melody of the wind, the stories of the waves and the magic of those moments when calm and storm meet.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
