About ‘Candi Dasa’ by Bianca Hinnen

Candidasa is a fishing village located on the east coast of Bali and is situated in a quiet lagoon, so you can spend time at the beach. Some parts of the beach consist of black lava sand, but around the village there are several beautiful beaches with a more idyllic view.
This fishing village on Amuk Bay can be called tropical thanks to its pearly white palm beaches and green hills. The clear blue water in the bay completes the idyllic picture.

The first sign of life in Candidasa dates back to the 12th century. At that time it was a fishing village known as Teluk Kehen, which translated means the Bay of Fire. Another name for the town was Cilidasa (10 children), and later it became Candidasa (10 temples). You may be wondering why 10 children and 10 temples? There is, of course, a beautiful legend for that. The famous temple is called Puri Candidasa and is a pilgrimage site for people from all over Bali. Inside the temple is a statue of the fertility goddess Hariti, who is surrounded by 10 children.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
