The photo is titled Kirnitzschtal, although it is not visible at all. That is, the direction is correct, only at a late hour, a huge blanket of fog has settled in said valley. In general, such fog bands are the unofficial trademark of many sunrises and sunsets in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. Sometimes they cover the entire landscape, so that only the peaks of the mountains and rocks look out, sometimes - as here - they settle only in the lowlands and nothing stands in the way of a wide view despite the fog.
