The Carolafelsen is a tranquil meeting point for many visitors to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains: hikers, photographers, sunset enthusiasts like me or the family who wanna strengthen themselves and is looking for a cozy place for picnic. They all are satisfied here. In the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, not only the view over the Großer Dom to the Falkenstein is worthwhile, the photographically less used angle of view over the Kirnitzschtal has its charms too. This day the sun went down directly over the top of the Hohe Liebe, it was a beautiful experience. The valley had long been hidden under a soft cloud cover at this point. I just wanted to say thank you to earth and nature for the impressive evening moments here.
