About ‘Castle of Grignan, France’ by Peter Bartelings

The castle of Grignan in France is first mentioned in writings in the year 1035. Today the castle is the largest Renaissance castle in southeast France. The castle dominates the view of the small village that is actually built around the higher castle. This work shows the part of the castle where the church was built. The floor in front of the entrance is of a beautiful mosaic.

About image-maker Peter Bartelings: as a born and bred Amsterdammer I feel -also as a photographer and image-maker at FotoAmsterdam.com- closely connected to the city of Amsterdam. Besides the Amsterdam collection there is also work from other cities in the Netherlands, like Haarlem, Groningen, Zwolle, Leiden, Delft etc. In addition, a lot of work has also been made in France and Germany. Moreover, over the years I have built up an interesting collection of digital art, including adaptations of old masters that have been given a new look and fit perfectly into a modern interior.
