Here you can see the heart of the city, captured in paint:
Rotterdam Central Station, exactly as it was then. In front of your snout you see the tram stops, with those towering juggernauts behind them. The Delftse Poort? Back then that was simply called the Nationale Nederlanden building - no kidding.
And then that new entrance to Centraal, which we proudly nicknamed "the Hair Salon". Only a Rotterdammert comes up with something like that, right?
People walk to and fro, to the tram, the metro or into the station. Rotterdam is always on the move; no bullshit, just polish. The atmosphere here is exactly as you'd know it: raw, honest, and straightforward. You'll hear the tram squeaking, suitcases rattling, and maybe a Rotterdammert shouting, "Hey, hurry up!".
This watercolour brings the city to life, as it really is. For fans who know there is nothing better than Rotterdam at its purest. Because honestly, it doesn't get more beautiful than this. ?
