About ‘Chess pieces in soft focus’ by Sidney van den Boogaard
Chess pieces stand on a board against a dark background. Their shapes are softly out of focus, so the image is about silhouettes, colour and mood rather than a particular move. This photograph has a more abstract feel than a conventional close-up of a single piece.
