Chichén Itzá, Mexico: an abstract panorama

by TheXclusive Art

The Chichen Itza, Mexico abstract panorama painting brings the famous Mayan pyramid to life in a sweeping and captivating panorama, in which the stepped temple, the surrounding jungle and the glowing sky combine to form a mysterious scene that feels both ancient and powerful. This exceptional work of art depicts the pyramid in the warm light of a low-hanging sun, with the sweeping brushstrokes in the sky and the rough texture of the stone steps capturing the ancient architecture in an artistic and contemporary manner. The shades of gold, ochre and terracotta lend the whole a glowing radiance that subtly yet powerfully reflects the secret of a vanished civilisation. The broad steps guide the eye step by step towards the temple at the top, whilst the dark canopy of leaves in the foreground and the floating clouds above frame the monument and maintain the composition’s balance.

The earthy, warm colours make this work a strong choice for a natural, exotic or contemporary interior. On the wall of a living room, dining room or study, it adds depth and a sense of adventure, whilst above a sofa or in a spacious hallway, its monumental form immediately catches the eye.

Anyone who loves Mexico, archaeology and faraway travels will find in this painting an impressive depiction of one of the New Wonders of the World to admire every day.
