About the artwork

Polyphemos or Polyphemus (Latin) is a figure from Greek mythology. He is a cyclops; son of the sea god Poseidon and the sea nymph Thoosa. Polyphemos lives on an island in a cave.

When the heros Odysseus and his crew set foot ashore, they are held captive in the cave, whose entrance is closed by a heavy rock. Every day, the cyclops eats some of the men.

The drawing is quite explicit and shows the person Polyphemos naked with his arms, chest, buttock, penis, scrotum and legs. All in all, a sexy and possibly erotic picture.

Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg (Blåkrog, Jutland, Denmark 2 January 1783 - Copenhagen, 22 July 1853), usually referred to as C.W. Eckersberg, was a Danish painter. He was one of the founders of the Golden Age of Danish painting. In his painting, he focused on portraits, genre paintings (some of them historical) and shipping paintings. In 1803, he was accepted at the Royal Danish Academy of Art.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
