Typical Groningen church, Breede church. The church of Breede in the village of Breede in the municipality of Het Hogeland in the province of Groningen is a single-nave hall church from the Middle Ages with a straight-lined choir in the style of Roman Gothic. Church and presbytery form an inseparable twofold unit. In the landscape, they stand out because of their striking white colour scheme. The church, built shortly after1300, is today whitewashed and has a neo-classical look on the inside.
