The Citroën H Van, Citroën HY or Citroën Type H - as the original French name suggests - is a Citroën van that was produced between 1947 and 1982. With its characteristic "corrugated plate body", the HY was a familiar sight in Europe. The requirements for the design of the HY were somewhat similar to those of a 2CV: front-wheel drive, low fuel consumption and good road holding. The first blueprints of this car were already on the workbench during the Second World War, but the first prototype didn't roll off the tyre until after 1945.
