Fossil fuels, an increasingly scarce image in an age of sustainability and greening. A nostalgic image from the industrial revolution, when coal became the fuel that powered the many steam engines.

The industrial revolution proved to bring with it so many unforeseen problems that plague our planet to this day. The burning of coal initiated 250 years of air pollution and the current climate crisis.

Yet its rawness, craft and workmanship still attract our attention. We like to refer back in our interiors today to a time of pollution, harshness and perseverance under miserable conditions.

As a photographer, I love to capture the endlessness and details of the Dutch landscape in strong photo images. By using different techniques and combining them with perspective and composition, I create the own dynamics that are often recognizable in my photography work. With my photographs I try to capture a momentum in time where you almost seem to be able to touch the image and the atmosphere is almost tangible.
