About ‘Colourful Berlin photo booth memories’ by Kelvin van Vliet

A moment captured on a semi-abandoned creative site in Berlin: the Lokschuppen. A place where raw history and contemporary creativity meet in colour, texture and unexpected details.

In this image, a girl sits inside an old photo booth, almost hidden within the surroundings yet fully part of the atmosphere. The booth feels like a small world of its own, an intimate moment placed within a layered and vibrant environment.

Above her, shoes hang from a structure, as if carrying stories from everyone who has passed through this place. It adds a playful and at the same time timeless feeling, as if every layer of the location leaves behind its own memory.

The setting is rich in colour and contrast: worn, creative, chaotic yet still harmonious. It is exactly this mix that makes Berlin so unique — a city where nothing feels perfectly polished, but everything gains character because of it.

For me, this image is about capturing a moment within a place that lives in layers. About finding calm within chaos, and intimacy within an environment that at first glance feels busy and raw.

It is a scene that invites you to look longer, to keep discovering new details, and to lose yourself for a moment in the atmosphere of a place where creativity has no boundaries.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
