About the artwork

This breathtaking photo shows the historic Ponta do Pargo lighthouse against a backdrop of vibrant colours as the sun sets on Madeira island.

The lighthouse stands strong and proud, lighting the way for ships and serving as a symbol of hope and guidance. Meanwhile, the breathtaking sunset paints the sky with shades of orange, pink and purple, creating a stunning contrast.

This was truly one of the most beautiful and colourful sunsets I have ever experienced and I almost missed the moment. On my last night on the island, after some hesitation, I had left for Ponta do Pargo anyway, hoping to capture a beautiful sunset. I hadn't really had much luck with that during my trip.

As the golden hour approached, it quickly became clear that it was going to be a beautiful spectacle, but I had the greatest difficulty getting there by car. It was unusually busy on the road and due to works the normal route was completely closed so I had to make a very big diversions. I arrived just after the sun had set and thus missed the effective sunset, but the colours in the sky magically lingered for a long time, making for some great pictures.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
