The Karlshof in Leipzig was built in 1846 for the insurance company Teutonia according to the plans of Albert Geutebrück (1801-1868). It housed various companies over time, including the well-known Nitzsche AG with its cinematograph production. The fragment of the building to be seen in the picture on the right was added to the Karlshof at a later date and was probably the only part to survive the bombings of WW2.
