This tree frog does what tree frogs do best: relax. All day long, this cold-blooded creature, only a few inches tall, lies saving up energy so that it can go out at night for a tasty snack.
The European tree frog - the name says it all - is found in almost all of Europe. This photo was taken in the Netherlands, where the species is relatively rare. This specimen is sunbathing on a leaf of a bramble bush. A great place to spend the whole day, because despite the name, tree frogs do not only live in trees.
Unlike other frogs, tree frogs stay quiet when you get close to them. They rely on their camouflage, and you must indeed look closely to spot them. There is nothing that can rush them, as this specimen shows very well. That's an ideal piece of inspiration for your wall!
