Shhh... do you hear that? I sneak a little closer to the guide. We are deep in the forests of Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica. Wearing my rain boots and poncho, I walk slowly closer. It has been raining all day, I am sweating like an otter and just hope my camera is not too damp.
By now I am standing next to the guide and following his finger. There it is, right in the middle of the branch: a beautiful hummingbird! He sits there quietly looking around, observing his surroundings and keeping an eye on us. Every now and then it shows its tongue. It is a funny sight, as if he is laughing at us. At the moment I take the picture, he looks up chicly. A nice pose for this beautiful bird. The photo shoot is short-lived, within seconds he is gone again. Looking for a new branch from which to view his "home", the tropical rainforest of Costa Rica.
