Cranes in the field at night
The crane has been a symbol of a sacred animal since ancient times. Cranes that have formed a pair stay together all their lives, which is why I drew a pair.
In Japan, the crane is considered lucky, a symbol of long life.
I drew these origami cranes as if they were real flesh-and-blood animals. They sway through the air and forage in the field with a blood moon in the background.
The blood moon is spiritually seen as a time for transformation, reflection and change.
Another spiritual meaning of the blood moon is letting go of things, feel as free as a bird!
