About ‘Cranes’ by Anton Hammenecker

Leuven is a city full of life.

Within the constant evolution of this city there are many building sites that always provide a background soundcape when walking around. Construction cranes are strewn across the city skyline as a consequence.
A walk though this, or any city for that matter, always invites one to look up. As much of the life around us takes place above our heads.

The lines of these 2 cranes make for a simple design against the background of the sky. The black and white finish provides a greater contrast between the steel construction and the bright afternoon sky.

The composition is simple, but playful with a minimalist approach, which allows this picture to be at home in any interior.
