The Geirangerfjord is a 15-kilometer arm of the Storfjord. There is a ferry connection between the towns of Geiranger and Hellesylt, located in the fjord. Here at the end of the fjord you can see Geiranger lying in the depths.
The fjord has several waterfalls.
Geirangerfjord is very regularly visited by cruise ships and there are tours of the fjord and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Norway. Since July 14, 2005, this fjord, along with the Nærøyfjord, has been on UNESCO's World Heritage List.
