Lake Oeschinen is located in Kandersteg, Switzerland at an altitude of 1578 meters and is a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The lake is bordered by the Bluemlisalp, Oeschinenhorn, Fründenhorn and Doldenhorn and you can take beautiful walks there.
We hiked from our campsite in Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland to the lake where we encountered this curious cow. Then we hiked above the lake and viewed the azure water from all sides.
Hiking here for a day is a must do in Switzerland!
