About ‘DC-3 in Sólheimasandur’ by Timon Schneider

Famous plane wreck of a DC-3 (C-117) on the lonely, barren snow-covered beach of Solheimasandur in winter. The US Navy plane had to make an emergency landing in November 1973, was subsequently left behind and is now a popular tourist attraction on the south coast of Iceland.
