DR-Baureihe V 100.
The DR-Baureihe V 100, also known as Baureihe 110 and later as Baureihe 112, was a series of diesel-electric locomotives used by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) in eastern Germany. The V 100 was produced from the early 1960s and became one of the most common diesel locomotive series in the GDR.
The locomotives had reasonable power and were suitable for both freight and passenger transport. They were used for a variety of tasks, including pulling goods trains, passenger trains and light express services. After German reunification, many of these locomotives were transferred to Deutsche Bahn AG, where they were designated as Baureihe 202 (formerly 110) and Baureihe 204 (formerly 112). A total of more than 700 locomotives of this type were built.
