About ‘Dancing Cherries I Food Photography’ by Lizzy Komen

For me, cherries are the ultimate symbol of summer. That moment when they hang ripe on the trees, turning a deep red, and you can hardly wait to taste the first one. There’s something cheerful and playful about this little fruit, as if it heralds the start of long, warm days and summery moments.

For this photo, I wanted to capture that sense of movement and joy. The cherries seem to be dancing against the calm black-and-white background, as if they’re having their own little party. A simple product, yet one with so much character, colour and memories of the most beautiful season of the year.
