The white dandelion, also known as the fluffy flower, is the seed stage of the yellow dandelion. When the yellow flower has finished flowering, it forms a round fluffy bulb full of seeds that the wind can carry away. This fluffy bulb is often associated with making wishes, as people like to blow on the fluff to 'send their wish into the air'. Dandelions are strong and resilient plants that can grow anywhere from gardens to meadows and city parks. They are also important for bees and other insects as an early source of food in spring. The transition from the yellow flower to the white seed bulbs symbolises change and the cycle of life in nature. This fragile, white fluffy bulb gives a beautiful and natural appearance that often evokes memories of youth and playfulness.
