Dark rain clouds was made on a rainy day in April 2023 in the Palatinate Forest in Germany. The weather was, in photographic terms, fantastic! Sunshine alternated with deep black cloudy skies and beautiful white clouds. In short: Drama in the air! Point of view was the "Kleiner Hahnstein", a Teopfeiler typical of the Palatinate Forest. Rock pillars from hundreds of different sandstone layers, often more like 50 metres high. In the distance, in the middle of the photo, one such pillar can be seen. For this photo, I used a long (zoom) lens and the camera was on a tripod.
