About ‘Dark side of the sun’ by Wouter Hoogeveen

How do you capture a moment in a photograph? Composition plays a big role in this. Some moments can only be captured in a certain proportion. In this case, a panorama. On the left, the rugged sharp cliffs of the coastline, eroded by erosion and sedimentation, tower high above the tide line. What remains are the stretches of rock that overflow and dry up again with the coming and going of the tide. During this endlessly repeating cycle, the sand transported by the sea is continuously displaced, laying pieces of reef blood or managing to completely bury them. Differences in hardness of this underlying rock create many height differences in the reef, which in turn holds pools of water. When the wind then drops, this puddle acts as a perfect mirror.

On my page you find the result of my love for surfing and photography. The combination of both makes that I am mainly busy with photographing from and around the sea. I have a great preference for shooting from the water.

Throughout the year I am located alternately in the Netherlands, France and Portugal. All three with their own unique settings and possibilities.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
