About ‘De Kampina: Kogelvangers pond’ by Joran Quinten

In the 18th century, the gendarmerie practiced their shooting skills here by shooting over the pond in the sand walls. The fen is part of nature reserve De Kampina, a nature reserve between Boxtel and Oisterwijk. It is nature as nature in Brabant once was: heathland, fens and pine trees.
