Zabriskie Point is a well-known vantage point in California's Death Valley National Park. It is one of the hottest places on earth and is characterized by its pastel-coloured undulating dune landscape where almost nothing lives.
The place is named after the American businessman and deputy director of the Pacific Coast Borax Company: Christian Brevoort Zabriskie (1864 - 1936).
